Josh tapped his inbox, sorting through the notes and memos for any misplaced 
workorders that might have come in, knowing that some of the crew had taken to 
sending them directly to him rather than engineering as a whole, though not 
really certain why. He paced silently in front of the console while waiting for 
it to load.
   
  Eight new messages.
   
  Work order for mess hall marked non-urgent..
  send to main box.
   
  Work order for lift one marked urgent....
  read now...
  not urgent.
  Send to main box.
   
  Annabelle regarding dinner plans...
  Forward to Mac.
   
  Mac about dinner plans...
  forward to Anna.
   
  Anna about dinner plans...
  forward to Annabelle...
   
  Looks like everyone is eating with someone else tonight, Joshua thought, so 
nobody should be lonely. Perfect. Means I can work late. 
   
  Moving on...
   
  New counselor aboard...
  Delete.

  Glancing over at the few workorders still in the main box, including the two 
he'd just sent there, he sent out a quick note of is own to Annabelle, knowing 
she wouldn't get it until after shift, then shut down his personal box. 
   
  "Working late. Don't wait to eat. See you at home."
   
  That done, he gathered his tools and went back to work.
