Hi all,
Some of you have commented that you 'face a steep learning curve'
or words to that effect. The [incorrect] analogy is climbing a
mountain. The implicit meaning is that the steeper the curve, the
harder something is to learn.

Not so.

To have a curve representing anything, we have to draw a graph,
which has axes. The vertical axis is the amount of learning and
the horizontal axis is accumulated time.

If you learn something quickly, the amount of time taken is small
and the amount of learning high - so the curve is steep.

If something is difficult to learn, it takes a long time to learn, and
so the curve is relatively less steep.

Understanding this should be on a steep learning curve!

Brian.
