atw: Security clearance

I have a copy of a letter from the 'Defence Personnel Executive complaint
resolution agency' in Canberra that states quite clearly that private recruting
firms are not to state that having a current or recent Defence security
clearance is a condition of employment.
The Canberra contact is Ms Jan Colegrave 02/62668255
The letter also states that there will be a 'whole-of-Government position on
this matter' determined at the next meeting of the 'Commonwealth Protective
Security Policy Committee'.
The letter is dated 21 November 2002 and was forwarded through the Commonwealth
Ombudsman. This letter is a result of a complaint from Colin Dawson (Pres. of
the STC) to the Commonwealth Ombuds man.
