Ah, Dr Bill (Parker), Then you'd absolutely love Qualcomm Eudora Pro Email 6.x (to which I subscribe, making it ad-free) which comes with a new and brilliant (if weird) little tool / feature called a Content Concentrator. Without knowing that it was switched on in the application Tools Options, it even fooled me into supposing that the text of the quoted E-mail threads to which I was referring had somehow been snipped in transit, after passing through the atw Freelists site. The Content Concentrator takes all those repetitive quoted E-mail threads and compresses them for viewing, so that they appear with a single line stating <snip> for the text of each threaded message. To quote the Eudora Pro Email 6.x help about the Content Concentrator: >This feature allows you to concentrate text inside a single message by >trimming redundant headers and text in the message window. You can also >group threaded messages and view them with trimmed headers and text all at >once in the preview pane of a mailbox. Threaded messages are messages you >receive that were either sent, forwarded, or redirected to you about the >same subject or from the same sender. There are various levels of adjustability built into the Eudora Pro Email Content Concentrator and it does nothing to the messages themselves, only making a difference to how they display. Very canny stuff. Although I have switched the Content Concentrator off here, because it can become a tad confusing when what you see is not at all like what you got. Would that phenomenon be called WYSINAALWYG and pronounced "whizzynarlwig"? I certainly hope not. For more on the new Eudora Pro Email tool (6) that, on my PC at least, does everything that its version 5 predecessor did, but so much more smoothly and efficiently that I find it even more of a joy to use, see: <http://www.qualcomm.com/eudora>. Hope that helps. Cheers, Michael Granat Write Ideas At 21:08 18/2/2004, you wrote: >I just love the DIGEST mode.
