Shocker! If I'd known, there's no way I'd have had coffee/lunch with a bloke 
with two masters degrees. I feel used. 

Agreed that most contract clients are very open to qualifications and 
experience - some employers less so. 

As for age: 
- I worked as a clerk for a while after leaving school, so simply omitting that 
job lopped three years off the CV. 
- Then I worked in Canberra after uni and couldn't finish off the last two 
units till I returned to Perth. I didn't actually graduate till 1989. So the 
résumé could truthfully start in that year, implying a vigorous Captain Picard 
type rather than the actual decrepit Kirk/Spock vintage.
