The normal meaning of ellipses  (...) on a menu item is to indicate that
selecting the option brings up a dialog box. Options that bring up a submenu
have a right-pointing arrowhead. Options that take effect immediately get
nothing.

So on a File menu, Close gets nothing, New might get an arrowhead (depending
on what the possibilities are), and Save As gets ellipses.
