Referring to Carole's email:
Last night's final episode of "She'll Be Right, Boss" on SBS 8:00 pm
Wednesdays was about balancing lifestyle with work. It featured successful
service industry companies which have relocated to Noosa Heads and the
"barefoot executive" phenomenon.
Someone who had also lived and worked overseas said of Australia that we
have a unique "balance" here. The underside to that was that sometimes the
'laid back' attitude meant it was hard to get people galvanised to respond
....er... quickly to a situation.

I have not lived and worked overseas but have always wished I had. People I
met who have, always strike me as 'well rounded' in their personalities and
are more open minded than most.

Is it true that we lack the culture but have just about everything else?
By the way, Sydney residential property prices are the most expensive in the
world (yes, more than New York) so I suppose I could sell my semi for a
bungalow....somewhere....
hmmmmmmmm.
