Hi Cathy

Why limit this to mothers?

Singles living alone also have work overload issues. I simply cannot
cope with 12-13 hour working days (including commuting), maintaining a
house, maintaining a garden, maintaining my food and clothing,
maintaining my car, bathing the dog, keeping the books, doing the GST et
al.=20

So I reduce the list by two items while I am working. I get someone to
clean for 2 hours a week, and I get someone to mow if I have a lawn. I
will probably also go with a company like Entity full-time so that I no
longer have to keep the books and do the GST/tax returns.=20

And for no particularly religious reason I declare Sunday as a Sabbath.
What doesn't get done Saturday doesn't get done. In the past I have had
an excellent cleaner who would do extra hours for all the stuff that
didn't get done - pick up shopping, sort out dry cleaning and pretty
much adapt to anything I asked of her.=20=20

Christine

This is probably not relevant to most on the list, so if you are not a
working mother you can delete this now.

My husband and I have this ongoing 'discussion' about how working =3D
mothers in the 'real world' cope with the combined roles. One question
that we =3D haven't been able to determine is what percentage of working
mothers seek =3D external 'domestic' help in one form or another. This
issue would obviously =3D relate to working mothers in any field.=3D20

Just a matter of interest!
