Nothing is ticked. The settings (no formatting etc) are exactly the = same between the 'find' and 'find and replace' tabs. I really can't see = anything that would cause the wide variety in approaches. I'm starting to = suspect it aint my fault at all. Grrr. - Naomi -----Original Message----- If style and case are not important, make sure you are viewing all options by clicking on the More button (becomes 'Less' when the options are displayed) and click on the No Formatting button. Also make sure none of the other search options are ticked unless they are what you want. ************************************************** To post a message to austechwriter, send the message to austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe to austechwriter, send a message to austechwriter-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "subscribe" in the Subject field.
