Hi All:

Thanks to Anne for pointing out where Rod's piece came from. That explains why 
the whole thing sounded so American, for example the sentence "the gathering 
disaster of Social Security has been obvious for years" is a current American 
debating point, not an Australian one. 

The drumbeat about "getting government off our backs" and "government coercion" 
also struck me as the motto of the American libertarians. They want a country 
with the smallest possible government, or even no government at all. Like 
Somalia. Perhaps we could chip-in for a one-way ticket for Rod?
