Hi there

I have a job that needs to start next week for two and a half weeks. The
work will be located in Geelong.

The start date hasn't been confirmed, but likely to be Tuesday/Wednesday
next week.

The role is:

- for a "Scribe" for a requirements gathering workshop

- in Geelong.

The ideal candidate:

- is an entry-level technical writer

- wants to learn about doing procedural documentation

- has some previous understanding and exposure to procedural documentation

- has at least 1 years experience as a technical writer, using MS Word,

- has experience using Visio or similar, to create process flow charts

- has their own laptop, running MS Word 2007/2010, and Windows. (If you are
a Mac user, you would need to have a virtual machine running Windows).

- is available to work some long days, and likely some or all of the week
end.

You would need to sit in the meeting room during the day (approximately
9.30am-4pm), and take lots of notes - capture all the decisions made.

Overnight (around 2-4 hours), formally finalise your notes, and create the
process flow charts ready for the client and the meeting the next day.

(If you are not experienced in creating charts, it will take you longer -
but will give you lots of practice).

You may also be required to support the meeting by making sure water is in
the room, the room is unlocked and neat in the morning, and make sure the
catering is ordered/delivered.

Once the workshop component has completed a Process document needs to be
created and finalised, for delivery back to the client. I will provide you
with a template for the document, and provide some training and tools in how
to format this kind of document.

I would provide some remote daily guidance, training and support. I will
also supply and set up the template for the document.

If you are interested in this role, please send me your CV ASAP.

Kind regards Suzy
