Hi austechies,

A couple of my Melbourne University students are hoping to do an internship
next semester (starting in March). Internships are, in effect, opportunities
for students to gain guided work experience through short-term placements
with organisations where writing and editing are valued activities. As well
as offering students work experience through guided management, internships
also offer sponsors of interns a zero-cost resource to help them undertake,
or contribute to, a writing or editing project. Yes, that's right: you don't
have to pay interns for the work they do. Not a zac, not a shekel, not a
razoo, brass or otherwise.

So, if your organisation has a project-or could concoct a project-that would
benefit from the services of a soon-to-graduate technical writer or editor,
please shoot me a message ASAP.

Cheers
