I recently came across an extremely useful Adobe document -- the FrameMaker "template primer", which was written to accompany a series of templates that you can download from the Adobe website. The templates can be instructive in themselves, but the document contains a wealth of knowledge that you can use even if you don't download the templates. And it's written in a refreshingly honest style (e.g. "You can fiddle with a paragraph's Numbering property until you scream, but the answer lies elsewhere...") The document contains insider tips for new and experienced users alike, including an invaluable 10-page checklist for creating a template from scratch. (Understandably, the last step just says "Celebrate!") If you haven't seen the document, I highly recommend it: www.adobe.com/products/framemaker/tempseries/pdfs/primer.pdf The downloadable templates are at: www.adobe.com/products/framemaker/tempseries/ Regards, Craig ************************************************** To post a message to austechwriter, send the message to austechwriter@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe to austechwriter, send a message to austechwriter-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with "subscribe" in the Subject field.
