Space will start and stop playback once the recording has stopped.
I'm sure someone will post Andrew D.'s audio tutorials for you but I

looking for startup help for me. years ago managed to record on
audacity and recent download because I had a hard disk crash and no
data saved at all. Also I forget how to record on the program. Where
in hekc is the record button just says track panel when opening the

I opened that the other day after forgetting I was going to try and
open Audacity first, and it didn't seem to have an impact, meaning
that it still worked as expected. Keeping Audacity open, I opened
iTunes and Firefox, then switched back to Audacity and tried
switching folders again as if I was going to import something like I
have described before. It continued to work as expected. So, keeping
Firefox and iTunes open, I closed Audacity and reopened it. This time
when trying to switch folders, it locked up as I have described. I
have not tried closing Audacity then reopening it again. I will admit
that I haven't tried every program on my computer, but I usually
attempt the import process right after said Zoom recording is done,

You say that if you use Audacity, then use some other programs, and
then reopen Audacity, that's when you have problems. It might be

1. If you first open audacity do some stuff, and all works OK. Then
just close it, and open it again and see if it's still working OK.
2. Try and work out if it's running a particular program between
first running Audacity and then running it again. So try just
running a single program between first opening Audacity and then running
it again.

Hi all,
Well, I spoke with Ted on the phone for about an hour yesterday
and had him stumped. The only theory we could come up with is
that my hard drive is about 70% full, which was causing things
to slow down. I would have thought though that I would be
experiencing more problems than just Audacity. The other thing
that's puzzling here is that when I open Audacity first, I don't
have the problem, even when I open other applications with
Audacity still running. However, if I then close Audacity and
reopen it, it locks up as described earlier.
