Yesterday, when I helped Karen with these problems, they did not seem to make
an appearance. Darn gremlins. We ascertained that the problem was likely that
she had a certain number of apps open while audacity was attempting to record.
Thus, putting a strain on the processor, memory and potentially other factors
causing the recording not to be asit should be. When audacity was the only
thing of any substance that was running, the recordings were fine.

Hello Karen,
You can record as many tracks in a single project as you wish. Keep in
mind that, the greater the number of tracks, the more information you
have to remember about them and sometimes it can make reaction times
slower, on your computer. From personal experience, I'd say keep it to
30 or fewer. I'm assuming you're talking about live audio and
simultaneous recording. Importing MIDI information would place a
smaller burden on your machine.
Very best wishes,
Sandra.

Is audacity only good for recording only two tracks? I guess I never
thought it would only be good for just two? Thanks.
