Hi Robert! Play the instrumental track from the beginning and press shift-A where you want the vocal track to begin. This will set the cursor at that spot. You can adjust by pressing cursor left and right. Use the space bar to hear where exactly the cursor is set. Then unselect all tracks by pressing ctrl-shift-a and select the vocal track. Press alt-t followed by A and E to move the track to the cursor position. Press space again to hear the result. To increase or decrease the cursor adjustment you can zoom in and out by pressing ctrl-1 and 3. Since it's probably going to take several attempts to get it exactly right, it's a good idea to assign a key stroke to the Align To Selection Start command in keyboard preferences. Once the vocal track is roughly where you want it, you can leave it selected and move the cursor further left or right, then press the assigned key command. This way you can fine-tune more easily. Cheers!
