Hi Aidan!
To give you an example, I have set the Audio to buffer to 100 and Latency
correction to -193. You can approach the ideal setting by generating a
short click track and then recording the clicks from a speaker to a second
track. By listening to both tracks you can determine the interval between
the clicks and adjust the correction values accordingly. When the clicks
are very close, it helps to pan the tracks apart, so you can tell which is
which.

Cheers, Robbie

Subject: [audacity4blind] latency issues

Hello list, so now because of this thing that audacity don't support asio
drivers and alike, this create a problem for us who want to record music.
Any idea if someone yet developed something to use for a direct low
latency? I find that I am having problems with sonar and the scripts, so
its good to use audacity for some of the more basic music tasks. And if I
don't mis it, someone rote earlier about he have done his album with
audacity only, then in that case, how did you handle this latency thing. I
set both edit boxes in all different ranges, but stil don't improve the
latency. And I was wundering if there is anything I can download to make
this work and to communicate directly with audacity and by pass windows
onboard latency. If not, I am afraid I must go back to sonar for now at
least.
