Ok, glad you've got latest version, and really not sure what could then be causing hassles, but, yes, while also use NVDA sometimes, it's my sort of secondary screen reader, so, don't really use it all the time - sorry can't be more helpful. I like to keep up to date on these things. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: jacob@xxxxxxxxxxxxx To: audacity4blind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [audacity4blind] Re: Screen-reader freezes while working with Audacity Date: Sun, 5 Jan 2014 13:54:32 +0200 What version of NVDA are you using? Current, newest version is 2013.3 AFAIK, and it might be worth trying to use that if you had an older version, just in case..? I've had to force a shutdown several times because of this, and the last time it wouldn't work. I was previewing the "Noise Removal" effect that time, but other instances have included trying to slow a song down using the "Change Speed" effect. I can't remember what else I've done when this has happened. What have I been doing wrong to cause this to occur? Is this a bug in the current Audacity?
