Subject: [audacity4blind] Off-topic: Complaints (was re: Noise removal)

Anders,

During the past two years the only posts I have seen by you on the
Audacity list were complaints. When I wrote a plug-in two years ago
you complained it wouldn't work for you. late last year I
discovered why it wasn't working for you from someone else who also
lives in Europe. I edited the plug-in to work in the european
fashion and sent it to you privately. I still haven't heard from
you whether it worked for you or not. When you posted the link to
the presentation mp3 file on how to use Audacity, I asked you to
send me Gene Asner's email address off-list. I still haven't heard
from you. And now you've complained about Audacity's noise removal
effect. Just like you have on the general Audacity users list.

Anders, this audacity4blind list was created specifically for blind
and visually-impaired people to _help_ each other in using
Audacity. To me, posting a complaint means the person is asking for
help on how to do something. So I find or provide a solution as
best I can. But since the only posts I have seen from you are
complaints, I take it you are more interested in complaints rather
than solutions. In which case I'd rather delete your emails instead
of reading them.

do not like the way you have to mess around with noise profiles and
such things. I prefer the way you can do in goldwave or soundforge.
Thoug goldwave has a very bad noise reduction functionality. Its a
really big dissaster. Soundforge has a very good noise reduction
tool though its too expensive. /Anders.
