Changing your voice from a female to a male and from a male to a female depends
on the individual tone of voice .
What I am saying is:
1.
Base on your tone of voice there will be a limit you could pitch up and down
without sounding strange.
2.
In some case, there are people who have a great tone of voice that allows them
to convert from male to female and female to male allowing the listener (your
audience) to be fool.

Finally,
Send me a sample of your voice and let me see what I could come up with. This
would give me a better comprehendsion of the situation and your tone of voice..
I would try with the tools I have; shifting your voice to the limit from female
to male trying to get a clear idea how far your tone of voice could be change
without sounding natural.

Sorry, and, good luck, but, it seems like most mentions of this type of thing
found on 'net mention both pitch change, and tone modulation, etc., but, for
example, I met up with a guy who used to do his own form of audio books just by
doing a form of voice acting, but, it really depends on the person.
Think you could also try placing microphone in different locations, maybe
wrapping different forms of covering over it, etc., but not 100% sure myself.
Hopefully other guys on the list will have ohter suggestions.
