Will audacity say witch track you are on yet? I only had he beta for a short
time, but I went back to something I was used to.

Hi Gianluca,
In 1.3.1, you can define selection edges by typing in left bracket [, a menu pops up, you can type in the start time of the selection. And you can do the same for right bracket ]. On the track that you select (if you have more than one track, you determine which track by pressing the up and down arrows).
