[audacity4blind] Re: Compressor

Before using Chris's compressor I'd suggest using the Amplify or
Normalize effects to bring the peak level (loudest bit) up to 0 dB.

I don't use Windows, but I believe there may be a setting in the
Windows sound settings to add a 20 dB boost to the microphone input.
