Hi, Ted,
I am at a point where I can make a call, if convenient for you.
I am in Sedro Woolley, WA, Pacific time, and I will have some time tomorrow,
I’m flexible.
If tomorrow doesn’t work for you, let me know the best time, and I will work
around your schedule. Otherwise, I am flexible tomorrow.
Thanks very much for your offer.

Yes, you can get much of that hissing sound out. Using the noise filter in your
FX pulldown menu. Call me, and I can walk you through the process.

Hi, All,
The audio in the Dropbox link below is a snippet of an old tape of a school
play. The tape recorder was as close to the action on stage as they could set
it, but not the professional sound quality we are all used to today.
There is a hissing sound, as if the volume on the machine weren’t turned up
enough. Is there a way to get that hissing sound out using Audacity, and if
so, please tell me how.
I haven’t used Audacity for much except changing the pitch and straight
recording, so making it simple for me will help tremendously.
Thanks very much. Here is the Dropbox link with the sample audio from the play.
