ASME is running the second round of the hackathon event this year. It will be a 
virtual event "co-located" with IMECE 2020.

 The first hackathon event was organized during the IDETC conference in August.

The Hackathon at IMECE this year has two topic areas: 1): Generating an 
Interpretable Surrogate Model for Predicting Damage Accumulation in 
Manufacturing, and 2) Smart Manufacturing - Melt-Pool Size Prediction for 
Powder-Bed Fusion Additive Manufacturing. This is an excellent opportunity for 
students to interact with professionals to learn and practice data-driven 
design and manufacturing. Thank you very much!
