Hello,
RedLine is currently accepting proposals for our 6th Annual 48 Hours of
Socially Engaged Art and Conversation Summit. We greatly appreciate you
submitting a proposal in the past and hope you'll consider contributing
again this year! *RedLine will be hosting a virtual event on Saturday,
August 8, 2020 and an in-person summit in 2021.* On the submission form you
can choose to submit a proposal for either the virtual or in-person summit
or you can pick to have it be considered for both events.
*Theme: Afrofuturism & Beyond *
Our programs and exhibitions will seek to imagine the future and reexamine
the past through the lens of African traditions and black identity. As
author Ytasha L. Womack explains, “Afrofuturism is where the past and
future meet.” With a rich and disparate source material that ranges from
ancient mythology, science fiction, astrophysics, technology and comic
books to social justice movements, and popular culture—the possibilities
for exploring this genre are boundless.
