There are two problems that come up at launch. The first is the tracking
loop bandwidth. If it isn't high enough, you lose lock. Of course
opening up the bandwidth reduces the accuracy of the result.

The other problem is acceleration sensitivity of your local clock. While
it is possible to make crystals with low acceleration sensitivity, they
are not common. Vibration isolators and mounting so that the least
sensitive axis of the crystal is aligned with the thrust would help.

I looked at the data sheet for the TCXO used in the PIKSI and it doesn't
even mention acceleration sensitivity.
