I mean the most likely person that I know, not the most likely person in
LA...

I don't know anyone with it in LA (most likely candidate would be Lee Valentine of the Space Studies Institute, who is an ER doc), but I haven't heard that he's come down with it yet. But then, I'm pretty anti-social. I'm little more hermit now than I was before this started.

But to Henry’s point, five of six are friends in NYC, doctors, mostly.
LA seems to be coming up on my personal radar....

With tested US cases a bit over 300,000 and US population a bit

than the average person's social circle (150-200 people, per that
unimpeachable source Wikipedia.)
Add to that highly uneven geographic distribution - over 1/3rd of
the US total are in New York State - and I'm not surprised that
most of us don't know anyone with it yet. Long may it stay that way.

I just found out a good friend of mine from church likely has it

One strong probable, by symptoms and circumstances, never
hit the (very
steep) local test threshold, largely now resolved.
Can't say I personally know of anyone else. Haven't been
getting out much.
Was mostly ignoring the extended Dread C-Word discussion, as
it was
revisiting what I'd already thoroughly been through in
February in
another venue replete with sometimes-overhasty smart people.
And, I thought it was too quiet. I apparently got
unsubscribed from the
list, midmorning of 3/27. Hadn't sent anything in three
days and got no
notice, so it was unlikely an intentional correction. Very odd.
Rejoined no problems yesterday. So, I'm baaa-ack! Miss me?
Probably not. Essential? The graveyards are full of
essential men! :-D
