analogy starts to break down, there. :P
Jokes aside, I was thinking of how many leading lights of aircraft
design in WWII, and engineers of the Space Race, caught "the bug" by
seeing or experiencing barnstorming. And the risk factor -- taking a
hop with a barnstormer was a pretty high-risk action in those days. And
we keep talking about how the first space-tourist fatality might cripple
the industry for decades....
