It adds further design complications to the already-complicated aerospike,
and the only big advantage is that the rectangular shape is better suited
to going on the rear surface of a wide, flat lifting-body vehicle. Seems
unlikely to be worth the trouble unless you really want to use such a
vehicle shape for other reasons.
