Here’s a presentation that shows some of the manufacturing steps. Step 1 is
the creation of powdered constituents using a gas atomization chamber. As I
understand it, the rest of the steps are unnecessary if one is going directly
to an SLM machine.

I’m packaging this information with the additional caveat that I probably don’t
