Just a quick followup, which I suspect may be unrelated, but I just
realised anyway...
On my email box (a RISCube, for historical reasons), I have an Orpheus
mailbox for a specific account. At one point I had trouble resolving it
(RISC OS 4.02/4.39 VRPC) possibly because my ISP wasn't Orpheus. As such,
that mailbox now always fetches from 86.54.100.218 (ie. IP address of
Orpheus' POP server).
This doesn't, however, explain why other machines would be unaffected.
I'm not sure quite what the "take-away" from that little story is, but as
I say, I resolved it (pardon the pun) by using IP addresses in Hermes. I
guess for News you could do the same in NetFetch/Newshound.
