A probable work around is to use !Transfer2 which, with an adjust click,
will pick up text from any icon and a select click will drop it anywhere
relevant.
I find it indispensable.
However the latest update has changed it in that its text window (which
shows the picked up text) now shows the text on a black background instead
of the white it used to be, making it somewhat unreadable.
