Yep - looks like Hermes is the problem. There were a whole load of
files in !Hermes.MailDir.local. I moved then to spool, setting them
to text, rather than data, did a debatch, and loads of stuff
appeared, including 23 missing posts to this list.
I have only begun to notice this problem since upgrading to Hermes
4.11 about a week ago, although never connected the two.
At least I know where the posts and emails are going to.
There has been a lot of articles on El Reg recently about black holes
being discovered out there - never saw any mention of the Hermes
black hole though 8)
