ArgyllCMS profiles don't apply inverse-gamut mapping to the A2B tables, just
forward gamut mapping to the B2A tables. So the perceptual & saturation A2B
is identical to the colorimetric A2B.
This approach is more compatible with the reality that popular source
profiles (i.e. sRGB, AdobeRGB, ProPhotoRGB) are matrix profiles and
do not support perceptual intent, as well as the problem that splitting
gamut mapping between A2B and B2A has significant drawbacks.
