Hello Graeme!
Thanks for information.
About cctiff - sorry, I thought that it works only with 4 channels or
less, as colprof...
Now I see that it works.
But my 1st try with 6 channel profile was unsuccessful.
I made AdobeRGB1998 to 6C conversion conversion:
(cctiff -p -fT -ip AdobeRGB1998.icc -ip MC_Hexa_Sample.icc RGB.tif 6C.tif)
but I cannot correctly open the output TIFF file, Photoshop gives an error.
Using -a option gives the file which is accepted by Photoshop, but:
a) it is 5C file (CMYK+1 Alpha channel)
and
b) the picture looks extremely light there.
But at the same time it seems the output 6C file contains correct data,
because 6C to Lab proofing back-conversion
(cctiff -p -fT -a -ia MC_Hexa_Sample.icc -ia CIELabD50.icm 6C.tif
Proof_Lab.tif)
gives more or less correct result.
So it seems Photoshop doesn't understand the encoding of 6C file, or
something like that...
I'll check LittleCMS's tifficc too...
Best regards,
Alexey Gribunin.
Both Argyll's cctiff and LittleCMS's tifficc conversion utilities will do this for you too.
