yes, you can create any combination you like by creating .gam files using
iccgamut and tiffgamut and viewing them with viewgam.

No. (It sounds a bit tricky to add something like that.)
You can figure it out by varying (say) the color or transparency of
the gamut you want to identify though.
3) Is there any means by which you can automatically identify the larger
gamut and make
that the wireframe?
No. It's a manual process.
(Topologically one gamut is rarely larger than another - typically they
overlap, so some sort of weighted heuristic would be needed to
decide which is subjectively larger.
The gamut viewing tools were conceived as diagnostic
tools, so they lack the sort of polished end user
features that a purpose built gamut viewer application
might provide.)
