you can do this fairly easily using a diffusive reflective
material that has a flat spectral response.
Expanded polystyrene foam or Tyvek is typically
a good choice. You can check how spectrally flat
the material is using the instruments reflective mode.
To measure ambient you then reflect the light at 45 degrees
into the instrument in emissive mode.
How correct these measurements are?
If the material is spectrally flat, the relative
response will be accurate.
The absolute units are uncontrolled though.
I guess if you assume the reflector has a uniform
diffusive response and you have measured its
reflectivity, then it might be possible to
calculate the correction factor, but off hand
I'm not sure how to do that.
