Are you sure that you are using 3 curves, not one?

Hi!
I'm trying to calibrate Samsung 940Z5L laptop's UHD IPS display with
~150% sRGB color gamut using ArgyllCMS.
I want to create response curves to make color at least slightly more
adequate for viewing. When I try `dispcal` on various monitors, it
usually generates such curves without problem and, for example, "bluish"
displays start to look adequately. Of course I don't achieve full color
correction to sRGB by doing this, but colors definitely become more
natural after loading VCGTs generated by `dispcal`.
But with 940Z5L there's a problem: it seems whites and grays are
cold/bluish (dispcal measures ~8500K), but _real_images_ are looking
MUCH warmer than they should! This picture can give you an impression
about what it looks like:

is the original (and should look adequate on an sRGB-tuned display), the
bottom one, when viewed on an sRGB display, is how it looks on 940z5l
(I've applied inverse ICC correction to it), and the top one is the same
image with applied correction for 940z5l.
So when I run dispcal, it leaves VCGTs nearly linear; and when I try to
run it with `-t 6500`, it makes colors even more yellowish - probably
because it sees native white as 8500K on that display. I'm using Spyder3
colorimeter.
And it's a laptop, so contrast/red/green/blue settings are unavailable.
I have no problem with generating the ICC profile (see here:

can I do with argyllcms to make colors better using only response
curves?
