« CIE files specifications »? There is no such thing.
CIE measurements can be saved in any format.
But for the purpose of color management, things revolve around the “CGATS”
standard.
It’s a text file format with fields documenting the Illuminant, Observer and
what the data represents.
There’s usually “device” data, CMYK or RGB, and “CIE” data, XYZ, Lab, spectral,
density, Lch, even some statistics like standard deviation although that’s
mostly found in IT8.7/1 or 2.
