Only as much as various instruments do.
It's supported on the SpectroscanT.
It's also supported on the Spectrolino, i1Pro1/2/3 and ColorMunki spectro
if you provide a backlight table. Spot and strip reading is supported, as well
as transparency and emissive modes. Strip reading isn't going to be
that good unless your table is very uniform though, and reliable patch
recognition can be a challenge. Reading spot by spot is going
to be more reliable and accurate, but obviously is much more
time consuming.
No, I haven't attempted to implement the idea of profiling the
backlight to divide out any non-uniformity. It rather relies
on the zebra ruler to keep track of the location, but even
that mightn't be so reliable because the zebra stripe is a relative
distance measure, not an absolute one.
