Hi Graeme, Here is an example of what the wiki might look like. Obviously the main page needs to be set up, editing permissions tightened up so that a user would need to log in before being able to edit ... and of course some content would be nice :). http://www.irelandupclose.com/customer/ArgyllWiki If you want to move this forward you would need to register ArgyllWiki.org or ArgyllCMSWiki.org. If you have a hosting service then it could go up on that, otherwise I would be happy to host it (no additional cost). The screen size shouldn't be a problem - I've developed & tested it on a variety of screen sizes, and it seems to scale & adjust OK so far. The USB support is the more hairy part, which is why I recommend trying with ColorMeterDemo before committing to anything. I know for instance that a USB bug that's been reported on some Linux boxes when using the ColorMunki Spectro, also seems to be present on some (but not all) Android hardware. It's something I'll have to try and track down and fix if I can (or get the Linux driver fixed and hope it trickles down to Android). > I think it would be really fantastic to have an ArgyllCMSWiki (or > ArgyllWiki) ... which could also cover the ColorMeter, of course. I guess I'm not very familiar with Wiki's, but I certainly take the point that I can't cover everything myself, and a Wiki may well be better for keeping track of the current state of things, rather than trolling back through a mailing list archive. > I've checked and both ArgyllCMSWiki.org and ArgyllWiki.org are available. > I've also downloaded MediaWiki and I would be happy to set up the wiki on my > own website (at least temporarily). The majority of the time when someone asks a "dumb" question, it indicates that the documentation isn't as good as it should be, so if I fix the doco in response, I seem to get fewer questions in the future. Graeme.
