What effect > did you get with the "i1" ? > Sorry to say it but I think there is some issue with dispcal under linux. If I start dispcal and enter 3, White level, it starts up but the measurements stop after a few sec. Then dispcal terminate and I am back in console. The "test window" is still up, and the dispcal process is in the background. This was the eye-one pro. With the dtp94 I have almost the same behavior only that I get a warning and I can hit a key and it starts to measure a few patches. The test window looks at this time like the one posted by Udo. If I use the beta4 it works nicely. I have also tested the eye-one with beta5 on a windows box and there dispcal works. Regards Lars Tore Gustavsen The eye-one diagnose file ends with this: $ sudo dispcal -D 2>warnings monitor ****** i1pro: Triggering measurement after 10msec delay Scheduled triggering OK i1pro: Read measurement results inummeas 2, scanflag 0, address 0x9a4c030 bsize 0x200 Read 2 readings, ICOM err 0x0 (Trig & rd times 0 -10 801 -10) XIO: fatal IO error 0 (Success) on X server ":0.0" after 96 requests (95 known processed) with 0 events remaining. dispcal: Error - tcsetattr failed with 'Input/output error **** *****' The Dtp94 diagnose file ends with this $sudo dispcal -D 2>94warnings -yl monitor icoms: Write_Read called with '0PR^M' icoms: About to write '0PR^M' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Read called icoms: About to return read '<00>' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Write_Read Write_Read success, returning '<00>' dtp92: init coms has suceeded icoms: Write_Read called with 'RM^M' icoms: About to write 'RM^M' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Read called icoms: About to return read 'X 78.98^IY 87.67^IZ 67.44^M<00>' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Write_Read Write_Read success, returning 'X 78.98^IY 87.67^IZ 67.44^M<00>' icoms: Write_Read called with 'RM^M' icoms: About to write 'RM^M' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Read called icoms: About to return read 'X 19.20^IY 16.12^IZ 43.90^M<00>' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Write_Read Write_Read success, returning 'X 19.20^IY 16.12^IZ 43.90^M<00>' icoms: Write_Read called with 'RM^M' icoms: About to write 'RM^M' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Read called icoms: About to return read 'X 19.22^IY 16.14^IZ 43.93^M<00>' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Write_Read Write_Read success, returning 'X 19.22^IY 16.14^IZ 43.93^M<00>' icoms: Write_Read called with 'RM^M' icoms: About to write 'RM^M' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Read called icoms: About to return read 'X 5.24^IY 10.53^IZ 1.93^M<00>' ICOM err 0x0 icoms: Write_Read Write_Read success, returning 'X 5.24^IY 10.53^IZ 1.93^M<00>' XIO: fatal IO error 0 (Success) on X server ":0.0" after 90 requests (89 known processed) with 0 events remaining. dispcal: Error - tcsetattr failed with 'Input/output error'
