Sorry to say it but I think there is some issue with dispcal under linux.
If I start dispcal and enter 3, White level,  it starts up but the
measurements stop after a few sec. Then dispcal terminate and I am
back in console. The "test window" is still up, and the dispcal
process is in the background.  This was the eye-one pro.

With the dtp94 I have almost the same behavior only that I get a
warning and I can hit a key and it starts to measure a few patches.
The test window looks at this time like the one posted by Udo.

If I use the beta4 it works nicely. I have also tested the eye-one
with beta5 on a windows box and there dispcal works.
