When in Arachne, go to dos prompt, type: tcpinfo
Will tell you if packet driver is loaded.
Bad command or file name
Are you booting straight into dos before starting Arachne
or some other method?
I've been launching from windows.
That is your problem. You don't run Arachne from Doze, drop to dos and
eliminate Windoze shell. You
still have Windows networking running so dos cannot access network card. Was a
fellow on list, believe
Ray Andrews that had a batch file that closed the Doze gui, dropped to dos.
When done type: win
back to gui. Likely other members on list have similar routine.
Before you get to that, try booting straight into dos. When doze boots press
F8 I think which you
gives you a menu, should be a choice to straight dos. Otherwise we modify a
system file to boot into
dos all the time, type: win for gui.
If you can get in straight dos without any other network booted, then you can
test if Arachne
connects. Likely will. I will look for the drop to dos file.
