Hi everyone!
We have great news to share! Steve has seen his heart surgeon and his
cardiologist and they both pronounced that heis healing well and quickly!
(Thank you for all your prayers! I know that has made a difference in the
progress he has made.) Steve is still restricted to carrying no more than
10 lbs for another five weeks. The cardiologist has ordered physical
therapy, but the rehab folks have been slow to respond to us. His driving
restriction has been lifted.
Last week, he moved back to sleeping in the bed with me. This took some
adjusting on both our parts. I am sleeping much better now. It's amazing
how wonderful a touch on the arm can feel after not having that touch for a
while.
Steve is going for walks every day and has started easing back into the work
world by attending some meetings via the phone. It's still good for him to
nap once or twice a day. He is feeling more and more normal each day. Hugs
are still 'off-limits'. I am glad to have lots of friends that I can get
hugs from.
I expect that Steve's recovery will continue to go well. I don't plan to
send out any more e-mails. So consider that no news is good news!
