Ask yourself, "How has the celebration of Christmas changed during my lifetime?"
Then we'll talk about Mary's song in Luke 1:46-56. It's also known as the
Magnificat. If you have time to read it before class, think about whether the
themes in Mary's song reflect your hopes at Christmas. Do you know any
Christmas carols that have the themes of her song in them?
