Michael - It's good to be here today. I enjoyed celebrating Christmas
with my sister and my son. I have been reflecting on "Immanuel" this season
and the reality of "God with us."

Dolly - It's good to be back from visiting family in Maryland. Pray for
my sister in law who has been diagnosed with Parkinson's.

Peggy - Pray for my goddaughter Rosa who is expecting the birth of her
first child in January. Samuel Garcia has organized a baby shower for her
at the Houston Mennonite Church.

Mary Alexander - My friend Mary Kay's father died on Christmas morning
in San Antonio. Pray for her and the family.

Gloria - Continue to pray for Donna Wills who is not doing well with
continued pain and increased paralysis.

Charlotte - Pray for the family and friends of Carter Burns
<https://www.thrallisd.com/apps/news/article/1142555>, a five year old
in Taylor, Texas who was accidentally struck by a truck in his driveway at
home and killed. The service is on Tuesday.

Ted - Pray for Dama and Marby and several other members of the family
who have come down with the flu.

Dolly - As we approach the end of the year I have been remembering Terri
Lever who died two years ago. I continue to give thanks for her life.

Omar - It's good to be here this morning. Thank you for praying for
Bolivia today. It is meaningful to us after spending the last year there
with Mennonite Central Committee. Pray for Brisa, she is not feeling well
today.

Eddie - Pray for people who struggle this time of year, those who are
alone, hungry, cold and in jail. Pray for us as we travel to Belize over
the next two weeks.

Jan 3, 2020, FRI, 6-8pm - Serving the homeless at the ARCH (Austin’s
downtown homeless shelter). *Volunteers needed:*

Schedule for Sunday, January 5, 2020:
9:30am - Sunday school for all ages.Children and youth gather in the
sanctuary for singing
and then go to separate classes.
9:30am - Adult Bible Study, “A Place for the Ark,” 1 Kings 8:1-13.
10:30am - Snacks, coffee, tea.
11am - Epiphany Sunday, worship with covenant renewal, communion and
affirmation of people, new and ongoing, who serve on church committees and
in church positions.
Noon - Potluck, fellowship meal, Youth Group meets. Take down the
Advent/Christmas decorations.
Looking Ahead
Jan 12, SUN - Sunday school and worship. AMC Committees are encouraged to
meet after worship to organize for 2020 - choose a chairperson, review last
year, plan for 2020, set a date for the next meeting, etc...
Jan 16, THU, 6:30pm - Women’s Group meets, location via email.
Jan 19, SUN - Sunday school and worship. Youth Group meets.
Jan 21, TUE, 6:30pm - North Small Group meets.
Jan 26, SUN - Sunday school and worship.
Feb 1, SAT, 9-Noon - AMC Bylaws Revision Summit.
