I cannot seem to find what I am looking for, and hope that this is something
that can be done.

Is there a way to trim shapes when you create them? What I mean is say I
digitize an oval, but want the center hollow. How can this be done? I seem to
be running into a problem with too many layers of stitching on occasion. I can
get around this by designing a vector first, then digitizing the vector, but
was hoping it could all be done in one software.

I currently use Design Shop Pro+.

Thank You in advance.
