Joyce, Someone once told me that we all know our own initials. We put them on our garments and the like to silently announce ourselves to others. I think back to the days of Kings and Queens where when someone would approach the room of a party, a servant would sound the horns and loudly announce "Mr. and Mrs. Somebody!" as they walked through the door. How times have changed. If our initials were facing ourselves, it would be a sign of being either really full of oneself or a constant reminder of who you are for the person who has lost a few marbles. I'm just sharing what I heard when we first started in this business and asked the same question. I guess it's along the same lines as one's address on the front of your house. It's for others to read who don't already know where you live. By the way, what hoop do you use to embroider on a slipper? I had a customer approach me yesterday with a baseball glove. I couldn't think of a what hoop to use on such a heavy, thick item without maybe disassembling it first. So I suggested maybe sewing on a patch with the kid's name embroidered on it. The only place to put it would be where the large "Spalding" patch was sewn on and she didn't want to have it removed or disassemble the glove either. She said she'd keep looking. Oh well? Should it face the person or out so someone you meet can read it? Thanks. Joyce Joyce's Thread Works --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
