The size of your design is not determined by the cap frame you use. On page 6-21 of the AMAYA Manual there is a formula for determining the maximum sewing field for caps.

Roland, do you use the wide angle cap frame?  I've wondered if
the old style cap frames would be a good investment..it seems
like we can get a larger design on cap.
