What I do is mark the point of the actual center of the entire design, draw a perpendicular and horizontal line through it to represent the x and y axis, then plot the centers of each separate sew file relative to the original center using the X and Y axis. I use metric measurements since they are easier to fine tune. I also mark the x and y axis of each design on the fabric so that I can true it up in the hoop. It would be great to digitize a start point then use that to do the alignment at the machine, but I haven't spent the time to figure out how to get all that to work between Wilcom and the Amaya. I hope this makes sense.
